Job Advocacy Support Service

Aim

The Job Advocate Support Services aim to create employment for the services users and promote independence and inclusion in their local community.

Location

The Job Advocate Support Services are located in the Bawnogue Enterprise and Community Centre in Clondalkin. This is a community integrated stetting and enables us to link closely with mainstream services. Also as our participants form the local community our premises are very accessible to them.

Services Provided

Today J.A.S.S. provides support to 66 people in part-time and full-time employment.

J.A.S.S. also caters for work experience and community placements for service users. There are currently four Job Advocates and one FÁS Advocate working in J.A.S.S department. Our FÁS provides support to FÁS trainees based in RCTEC and other FÁS centres in the community.

J.A.S.S provides extensive support to our services users. We also provide a secondary service to our participants, which includes daily recreational activities, day trips and breaks away. Our participants are also involved in community education in the locality and are invited to join our Jobs Club, which holds meeting once a month in the evening time in locations in the community. In addition to providing support to the J.A.S.S. Participant, J.A.S.S. Staff also offer support to their families and employers.
